A Leader for Saanich — Gulf Islands
David James Beckham
Meet David
My name is David Beckham, and I’m running to be your Member of Parliament for Saanich—Gulf Islands. I have been a Sidney resident for 13 years and lived in British Columbia for 30 years. I grew up in Manitoba, dividing my time between Winnipeg and our family farm, where I developed a deep respect for agriculture and hard work. My career has been in environmental remediation and renewable energy, where I pioneered a system to recycle toxic wastewater in the concrete industry—now used across North America. In 2007, I shifted my focus to solar energy, becoming a specialist in building-integrated photovoltaics, helping to make buildings self-sustaining power generators.
While my career has been in environmental innovation, I have also owned and managed a farm for over 40 years. This experience has shaped my commitment to policies that support sustainable agriculture, environmental stewardship, and a thriving, inclusive economy. I believe in a Canada where innovation and sustainability drive our future, and where every citizen—regardless of wealth or status—has a fair chance to succeed.
I am running in this election because I love this country and feel an obligation to serve. Canada stands at a crossroads, and I refuse to sit back while Pierre Poilievre and the Conservative Party push an agenda that threatens our values, our public institutions, and our sovereignty. We cannot allow privatization and American-style politics to undermine the Canada we cherish.
This election is about standing together for our future. I am proud to run as a Liberal, and I invite you to join me in fighting for a Canada that remains strong, fair, and free.
Let’s stand together—for Saanich—Gulf Islands. Stand together for Canada.
